Richard has been with Philips for over 13 years and now in charge of their efforts on Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning with primary focus on AI applications, methods and platforms in the context of healthcare. He has also represented Philips in the related international research and academic activities. Richard has a PhD in Computer Science, Semantic Reasoning, AI, and distributed databases from the Eindhoven University of Technology. Richard has a special love for photography and he has been a part of long- term documentary projects devoted to people stories in remote areas of Nepal and underprivileged minorities in Europe. His work as a photographer has won him several awards and has been published and exhibited internationally
